Despite a career challenged by injuries during his 5-year pitching tenure, Smiley transitioned to coaching college baseball for 8 years. With 7 years of scouting for Major League Baseball teams, he has diversified his interests as a real estate broker, an investor in real estate and technology. A sought-after speaker, emcee, and auctioneer, Smiley shares his insights nationwide. Married with a blended family, he and his wife are proud parents to 9 children.
